Yeah, saw that coming.
As expected, the New Orleans Hornets made Anthony Davis the first overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft. He'll make the Hornets better right away with his defensive presence. It remains to be seen how much he'll contribute on the offensive end; he'll score plenty in transition and on lobs and put-backs, but will have to develop a more refined inside game.
Of course, the fact that he doesn't have much of an inside game isn't that surprising - just three years ago, he was a 6-1 guard specializing in three-point shots. The most remarkable thing about Davis might be the fact that he went through a nine-inch growth spurt without losing much of his speed or agility.
