The Bucks acquired their center of the present earlier this week in Samuel Dalembert. In John Henson, they may have their center of the future.
Henson isn't much of an offensive player at this stage of his career. But he's probably the best defender not named Anthony Davis. He averaged over three blocks per game for the Carolina Tar Heels as a sophomore and 2.9 per game as a junior last season.
Combine Henson with Dalembert and Ekpe Udoh - acquired from the Warriors in last season - and the Bucks have the makings of a very imposing defensive frontcourt.
Henson is the third Tar Heel to be selected in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft, joining teammates Harrison Barnes and Kendall Marshall in the Association.
