There's an old basketball adage, "you can't teach size." The Warriors will put that to the test with Festus Ezeli, a player that, at this stage of his career, offers size and little else.
A native of Nigeria, Ezeli spent five years with the Vanderbilt Commodores but is still very raw. He has a knack for drawing fouls... and a penchant for committing them (disqualified from five games as a senior). Still, the selection makes some sense for the Warriors, who can use Ezeli behind starting center Andrew Bogut. This pick may inspire the Warriors to step up their efforts to move Andris Biedrins, who is set to make $9 million in 2012-13 and has a player option for another $9 million in 2013-14.
