The entire starting five from Kentucky's national championship team - freshmen Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marquis Teague and sophomores Terrence Jones and Doron Lamb - have declared themselves eligible for the 2012 NBA Draft.
All are considered very strong prospects. In the most recent About.com Basketball Mock Draft, Davis was projected as the top overall pick, Kidd-Gilchrist was second, Jones fifteenth, Teague 22nd, and Lamb 26th.
The Wildcats will also lose seniors Darius Miller - who projects as a high second round pick in the upcoming draft - and Eloy Vargas. That represents every Wildcat who played in the national title game against Kansas - save for freshman forward Kyle Wiltjer (3 minutes, 0-1 shooting) - will be gone before next year.
Of course, John Calipari is used to a lot of player turnover; he has sent freshmen John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Brandon Knight to the NBA in recent years... and he's got yet another stellar recruiting class set to arrive in Lexington in the fall.
