There are just two days left in the regular season, but a lot of playoff matchups have yet to be determined.
The Bulls, Heat and Pacers are locked in to the top three spots in the East. Boston is the fourth seed by virtue of their Atlantic Division title... but they're a four in name only. The Hawks have a better overall record than Boston, and will have home-court advantage in the opening round despite their lower seed.
The sixth, seventh and eighth slots are still up for grabs.
Orlando is in sixth place at 36-28 - two games ahead of the Knicks and Sixers, with two left to play. They can lock up the six seed tonight with a win over Charlotte. That seems like a pretty good bet, as the Bobcats have lost 21 straight. But if Orlando loses both their remaining games and the Knicks win theirs, New York will move into the six spot by virtue of tiebreakers.
The Knicks also hold a tiebreaker edge over the Sixers.
In the West, the Spurs (48-16) have clinched the top spot, with the Thunder and Lakers set as seeds two and three. The Clippers and Grizzlies will be four and five, but not necessarily in that order... they have identical 40-25 records, and each team has one game remaining. The Denver Nuggets (36-28, two games remaining) and defending champion Dallas Mavericks (36-29, one remaining) will be seeded sixth and seventh, and the Utah Jazz eighth.
The playoffs begin this Saturday, April 28.
