Another surprising pick, Miles Plumlee was expected to go in the mid-second round. But the Indiana franchise has long placed a premium on top performers from top college programs, so maybe adding a Dookie to a frontcourt that already features a Georgetown Hoya (Roy Hibbert) and Carolina Tar Heel (Tyler Hansbrough) makes perfect sense.
Plumlee has good size and is regarded as a hard worker, but doesn't have any one go-to skill or professional-caliber post moves. At best, he projects as a bench big who might replace Jeff Foster, who is retiring.
