Marquis Teague was the starting point guard for Kentucky's national title team, and one of six Wildcats to be selected in the 2012 NCAA Draft. The younger brother of Atlanta's Jeff Teague, Marquis has an outstanding first step and is able to get into the paint more or less at will, but isn't a great shooter and can occasionally struggle with his decision-making.
He'd be an ideal backup to Derrick Rose and, quite possibly, someone the Bulls could use in tandem with Rose at times. But this selection may be an indication that the Bulls are concerned that the 2011 MVP will miss a substantial portion of the 2012-13 season while recovering from the knee injury that knocked him out of the playoffs.
