Brittney Griner and the Baylor Lady Bears finished their NCAA Championship run in convincing fashion, thumping Notre Dame by 19 points in last night's title game.
Baylor finishes the season with a perfect 40-0 record. They're the seventh Division I women's team to complete a season with a perfect record, but the first to do so with 40 wins.
The title is the second in school history. Baylor also won the national championship in 2005.
Griner, Baylor's 6-8 center, was dominant, racking up 26 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in the game.
Notre Dame lost in the title game for the second consecutive year. Last year, the Fighting Irish were runners-up to Texas A&M.
