We may need to add another superstar name to the list of NBA players that could be traded by tomorrow's deadline.

The New York Daily News is reporting that at least one member of the Knicks' front office brain trust is pushing for the team to deal Anthony, who does not seem to fit well in a lineup with Amar'e Stoudemire or Jeremy Lin. The New York Post says Anthony would welcome a deal. One possibility? Anthony and Tyson Chandler for Orlando's Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu would work under the salary cap and solve problems for both teams.
Will it happen? Seems highly unlikely. Trading Anthony this soon would be a fairly obvious admission that least year's blockbuster deal - which brought Anthony and Chauncey Billups to the Knicks and sent Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton and Timofey Mozgov to the Nuggets - was a big mistake. And admitting mistakes isn't Knick owner James Dolan's style... he still considers Isiah Thomas a trusted adviser, after all.
A much more likely scenario? The Knicks limp to this season's finish line, qualify for the playoffs in the seventh or eighth spot, and then opt not to renew Mike D'Antoni's contract, making "how do you get Anthony and Stoudemire to play together?" someone else's problem.
