Oklahoma City guard James Harden was cleared to return to the court for last night's regular-season finale against the Denver, but the team opted to play it safe and rest him.
Harden sustained a concussion on Sunday, courtesy of a vicious elbow from Metta World Peace (aka Ron Artest) of the Los Angeles Lakers. That move earned World Peace a seven-game suspension.
Under the NBA's new concussion protocols, which were implemented before the season, any player suffering a head injury must pass a series of neurological exams before returning to the court.
