Kendall Marshall Im Screwed Is North Carolina

North Carolina point guard Kendall Marshall had surgery to repair his injured wrist today. His status for UNC's Sweet Sixteen matchup against the Ohio Bobcats is uncertain at this point.

Marshall had a screw inserted in the scaphoid bone of his right wrist. He suffered the injury during the Tar Heels' win over Creighton on Sunday. Afterwards, Marshall told his Twitter followers, "Successful morning. I'm screwed."

On the plus side, Marshall is left-handed.

If he cannot play, Roy Williams will likely use a combination of freshman Stilman White and senior Justin Watts to man the point. But White is really green - he averaged just 4.2 minutes per game this season - and Watts is not a natural point guard.

Carolina will play Ohio this Friday, with the winner advancing to face either Kansas or NC State in Sunday's Midwest Regional Final.
